DesignColumbus 2022 will be held in person Monday, August 22, 2022, at Columbus State’s Mitchell Hall!
DesignColumbus, hosted by the Columbus Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) and the Central Ohio Region of the U.S. Green Building Council, is one of Central Ohio’s premier expos for the building industry.
Attendees and participants are representatives of the entire project team, including architects, designers, engineers, owners, developers, government officials, municipal planners, facility managers, contractors, construction managers, construction specifiers, manufacturers, product representatives and others. DesignColumbus offers four educational tracks for a total of sixteen education sessions plus a keynote. This year’s keynote speaker is Amy Edwards Taylor, President for the Columbus Downtown Development Corporation and Capitol South.
AIA, LEED and interior design professionals who attend DesignColumbus presentations can earn continuing education credits (CEUs). These credits are of tremendous value to persons interested in maintaining their credentials in an ever more competitive marketplace. Certificates that can be used to self-report education units will be sent out electronically; AIA, GBCI and IDCEC credits will be automatically reported by DesignColumbus organizers.

DesignColumbus returns this year to Mitchell Hall, the School of Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts located on the Columbus State Community College campus.
Columbus State Community College is a top destination for education in culinary arts and hospitality. Named for Cameron Mitchell, founder and CEO of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, Mitchell Hall features teaching kitchens and labs, a teaching restaurant, a student-staffed bakery, a 100-seat culinary theater, a 400-seat conferencing space, classrooms and other support spaces. The LEED-certified building, which opened in 2019, gives culinary and hospitality students an opportunity to interact directly with the broader student body and the Columbus community.
