Cameron Mitchell Premier Events is one of Columbus’ most popular catering and event planning companies—and this year’s DesignColumbus attendees can enjoy a full day of the company’s delicious cuisine, included with their DesignColumbus admission. Cameron Mitchell Restaurants and Cameron Mitchell Premier Events will act as a hospitality sponsor for DesignColumbus 2020, serving as the event’s exclusive caterer.
In 2019, Cameron Mitchell Restaurants invested heavily in the Columbus community by providing a $2.5 million gift to fund the new Columbus State Community College School of Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts. Named Mitchell Hall in honor of Cameron Mitchell, the facility will be the venue for this year’s DesignColumbus event.
Mitchell’s investment in the Columbus State project is part of a long history of involvement in the city. Columbus is Cameron Mitchell’s hometown, and after the success of his first restaurant, “Cameron’s American Bistro,” which opened in 1993, Cameron Mitchell Restaurants has celebrated many more success stories, including Cap City Fine Diner & Bar, The Guild House, Hudson 29 Kitchen + Drink, and The Pearl, to name a few. Cameron Mitchell Restaurants has remained an independent and privately held company, growing to 36 restaurants with 15 different concepts located in 12 states. (For more information about the restaurants, and details on the company’s history, visit their website.)
The hospitality sponsorship will provide nearly $10,000.00 in support of this year’s DesignColumbus event. David Miller, President, Chief Operating Officer & Operating Partner of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, will be one of DesignColumbus 2020’s keynote presenters, sharing the story of the development of the new school.
